What does MAJLIS make?
Where and how are the rugs made?
Every MAJLIS rug is designed and authenticated in New York and hand-loomed in India by skilled craftspeople in safe workplaces, with a dense 14 mm pile.
What are the rugs made of?
Each rug is made in New Zealand wool or in ECONYL® regenerated nylon, made from recovered fishing nets and textile waste. You choose the material on the rug page or in MAJLIS Studio. ECONYL® adds $5 per sq ft.
What sizes are available?
Intense and Thick come in 6 x 9, 8 x 10 and 9 x 12 ft. For any other size or shape, MAJLIS Studio shows the price as you design, or you can request a quote.
How much does a rug cost?
Intense starts at $2,160 and Thick at $2,592, for a 6 x 9 ft rug in New Zealand wool. MAJLIS Studio sets every price, so the rug pages and the Studio always match. Shipping within the continental United States is included.
Delivery & returns
Can I cancel or return a rug?
Custom and bespoke rugs are made for you, so they cannot be returned for a change of mind. Manufacturing defects are covered for one year from delivery. Full details are in the Terms of Sale and the Warranty.
How long does a rug take?
Most rugs are delivered within 4 to 6 months in the United States, counted from your order confirmation. Delivery to Europe and Asia can be shorter. Your quote includes a delivery estimate for your rug.
Where do you ship?
Shipping is free within the continental United States. For Alaska, Hawaii or delivery outside the United States, contact us and we will quote it.

Can I see a sample first?
Yes. Samples and poms let you see color, pile and texture in the room before you order. Request a sample.
Will a MAJLIS rug work with pets, children or busy rooms?
Both materials are made for daily life. The dense 14 mm pile holds its shape, wool is naturally resilient, and ECONYL® is a high-performance nylon suited to the busiest rooms. If you are unsure, tell us about the room and we will advise.
Can I order a custom size or color?
Yes. Custom requests are encouraged and are quoted after a conversation with the MAJLIS team. Start a request.
Is the Studio estimate a final price?
No. The Studio is for visualizing a rug in a room, and any estimate there is a guide. Custom work is confirmed with a formal quote after the team reviews the size, colors and details.
How do I care for my rug?
Vacuum regularly, blot spills right away, and rotate the rug from time to time so it wears evenly. Care guidance is in the Warranty, and we are glad to advise on anything specific.
